The Cankarjev dom Jazz Quarter opening ceremony took place on Tuesday, 2 June, at 12.30 in front of the CD Box Office in the Maxi Department Store underpass.

Presented within the scope of the 56th Ljubljana Jazz Festival, the Jazz Quarter (extending throughout Maxi underpass) got into the rhythm of jazz alongside its Revolution Square (designed by the great Slovenian architect, Edvard Ravnikar) neighbours.

The Jazz Quarter lived and breathed jazz until 5 July, the concluding day of the 56th Ljubljana Jazz Festival.

The ceremony included a toast to the Jazz Festival at the Dobnik Chocolate Atelier and an appearance by Jazz je kul bend (Škofja Loka Music School) and Studia Dansa dancers.
