16.00: Erling Aksdal: Why Jazz Education? Because Jazz is a How, not a What
Erling Aksdal has been Head of the Jazz Programme at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway, for more than two decades. He will present good reasons for including jazz in the curriculum of any musician’s education with basis in the experience drawn from Norway’s oldest and most reputable jazz programme.

Welcome to the 2nd Jazz Bazaar taking place in the cool shade beneath the trees in the Council of Europe Park: exchange your old records at our flea market, bring your kids to the music workshop and attend the concert by one of the world’s finest drummers, Hamid Drake. Meet friends, see people, sample our culinary delights and simply enjoy life.

Creative reuse – making a stringed instrument, workshop for children aged 4+, don’t forget to bring your smile, the rest is up to us. Conducted by: Dragica Toplišek, author of Donum Art.
