"This is not a book for lovers and connoisseurs of jazz. It’s a book for lovers of music, and for lovers of photography who love music." - Sonja Porle, writer
Music is something that profoundly defines Žiga Koritnik’s work. His photography expresses a deep passion for the performers while being aware of and showing respect to the entire musical scene. Starting in 1986, he has followed music for more than 30 years. Koritnik had more than 60 solo photo exhibitions all over the world, worked for several music festivals and taken more than 150 portraits of musicians. He is creating immortal images with both analogue and digital photography equally. That technique allows him to bring the music world closer and beyond the music genres and to tell the story of music to everyone.
Book Cloud Arrangers, successfully raised funds with crowdfunding on Kickstarter, is presenting the best moments caught at the concerts and many portraits of well-known musicians from different genres, as Anthony Braxton, Cesaria Evora, Ron Carter, Bill Frisell, Joe McPhee, Diane Reeves, Ray Charles, Tom Waits, Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Han Bennink, Cesaria Evora, B.B.King, Buddy Guy, Oumou Sangare, Hamid Drake, Peter Brötzmann, The Thing, ....
The preface to the book contributed John Kelman, but the book also includes texts by Mats Gustafsson, Joe McPhee, Ken Vandermark and Joëlle Léandre.
