Awards

Neža Mežan
has worked for Mestni kino Domžale (Domžale Cinema) for a number of years. It is the quality of the Cinema’s European and global film programme that encouraged Neža to develop her critical thought, also by participating in a film criticism workshop conducted by Matic Majcen. This year she attended the Sofia Innovation Lab held annually within the context of the Sofia International Film Festival. She also helps implement the Domžale Cinema’s film-education programmes.

Matej Patljak
is a film expert, freelance journalist, reporter from the world's major film festivals, artistic director, professional associate and programme director of the movie theatre chain Radi imamo kino (We Love Cinema - Kino Rogaška, Kino Slovenska Bistrica, Kino Brežice and Kino Sevnica), film premieres presenter, host and organizer. 

Samo Seničar
has worked in film since 2010, when he was appointed Programme Manager of Celje’s Mestno kino Metropol (Metropol Cinema), Slovenia’s first arthouse cinema. He is also in charge of film education, an important part of Metropol's programme. He was member of various festival juries, most notably at Karlovy Vary, Festival of Slovenian Film Portorož, Sarajevo Film Festival and CineFest Miškolc International Film Festival. In 2017 and 2018, he was Programme Director of the Festival of European and Mediterranean Film in Piran.

The Dragon Audience Award is presented to best rated film that has not yet been purchased for Slovenian distribution. Choosing from Festival Director Simon Popek’s selection of movies, the spectators vote for their favourite feature film. Votes can be cast when exiting the cinema or via text-messaging at all 30th Liffe venues, at Cankarjev dom, Kinodvor Cinema, Komuna Cinema and Bežigrad Cinema. The film with the highest average rating receives the Dragon Audience Award. The voting via text-messaging has been made possible by Telekom Slovenije, d.d., the Festival’s main sponsor.
