It is with great pleasure that Cankarjev dom, organizer of the Jazz Festival Ljubljana, announces a new programme co-director of the festival, acclaimed radio presenter with his own radio shows, music producer, DJ, publicist and musician. 

He will join a programme team coordinated since 2009 by the CD Jazz and World Music Programme Director, Bogdan Benigar. While Borja Močnik will mainly focus on selecting outdoor acts, Benigar will programme concerts held in Cankarjev dom’s halls. Dré A. Hočevar remains the curator of the .abeceda programme and will also select an artist in residence. 

All three programme curators will jointly work towards best possible solutions, towards a coherent 2023 programme so that the festival – recipient of the Europe Jazz Network Award for Adventurous Programming (2018) – maintains its rightful place among Europe’s best jazz festivals. 

The 64th Ljubljana Jazz Festival will take place between 5 and 8 July 2023. Unlike the festival’s recent additions, the opening night will be held in Ljubljana’s Križanke open-air theatre. The remaining festival days will take place in the Council of Europe Park (the park outside CD) and Cankarjev dom’s venues.
