Focused primarily on young people, the Institute for the Promotion of Visual Culture Vizo and its Mad about Film (MAF) programme present a platform for informal yet quality film education. Being aware that photography constitutes a vital part of cinema, the multimedia lecture aims at shedding light on ways of making a great documentary photo-story. The practical part includes workshops on documentary photography and film criticism.

Featured guests are the internationally acclaimed and award-winning photographer Simon Chang, and film critic and publicist Nina Cvar. The practical work will be uploaded to www.madaboutfilm.si and the Festival’s website, and documentary photographs exhibited in a group show organised by Vizo in autumn 2016.
