Dr. Manfred Spitzer is a German psychiatrist, a university lecturer and the Medical Director of the Psychiatric University Hospital in Ulm, where he focuses mostly on neurological didactics and is the head of the Transfer Centre for Neuroscience and Learning. Dr. Spitzer has dedicated most of his career to the study of the brain. He lectured at Harvard University and the University of Oregon, and is the author of several books on learning, the epidemic of smart phones, digital dementia and the negative effects computers and electronic media have on children. He has signed hundreds of scientific articles. Dr. Manfred Spitzer is the most important German brain researcher and visited Slovenia two years ago, when his book, Digital dementia, was translated into Slovene.
