    Featured guest: Jaka Kranjc, lead expert at Ecologists Without Borders, over the last decade focusing on waste prevention, improving waste management and reducing pollution at the national, municipal, corporate and individual levels.

    Hosted by: Maja Prijatelj Videmšek, long-time journalist for the Delo daily focusing on the issues of environment, nature protection and food production, as well as the future of agriculture.

    NETWORK OF FESTIVALS IN THE ADRIATIC REGION PRESENTS: Winter Edition 

    Four powerful cinematic stories from the region available online for free, 10 – 18 December

    After two successful Spring Editions, the film events united into the Network of Festivals in the Adriatic Region: Zagreb Film Festival, Sarajevo Film Festival, Auteur Film Festival Belgrade, Montenegro Film Festival and Ljubljana Film Festival jointly present the first Winter Edition, held online, 10 – 18 Decem-ber, on the platform ondemand.kinomeetingpoint.ba, showcasing four films from the region: Metod Pevec’ I Am Frank, Maša Nešković’s Asymmetry, Srdan Golubović’s Father, and Teona Strugar Mitevska’s God Exists, Her Name Is Petrunija. The films will be available to audiences on the territory of Network country members – completely free of charge.

    Regional film festivals united for green change and sustainable practices: The right time to act – is now! 


    In an effort to become (even) greener and contribute to raising awareness of nature conservation and ecological sustainability through joint activities, the leading regional film events united in the Network of Festivals in the Adriatic Region: Zagreb Film Festival, Sarajevo Film Festival, Auteur Film Festival Bel-grade, Montenegro Film Festival and Ljubljana Film Festival present a one-day event called Ecoscope.

    The award ceremony was held at the 28th Auteur Film Festival and the winner was announced by Jovan Marjanović, director of the Sarajevo Film Festival


    The winner of the Adriatic Audience Award for the best film of the Network of Festivals in the Adriatic Region is Alma Viva by Cristele Alves Meira from Portugal. The best film was selected by gathering the audience votes from the Sarajevo Film Festival, Zagreb Film Festival, Auteur Film Festival, Ljubljana International Film Festival and Herceg Novi Film Festival, along with the votes of the audience who could watch this film online at the VoD platform ondemand.kinomeetingpoint.ba.

    Bringing together all cinephiles in the Adriatic region! If you’re under thirty, enjoy watching art films, would like to travel and attend festival screenings in your town, you’re just the candidate for the Adriatic Network of Film Lovers!
     
    We invite cinephiles from Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia to apply for membership in the Adriatic Network of Film Lovers. All citizens of the countries listed above aged under thirty are eligible applicants for the Network.

    33rd Liffe Awards

    The 33rd Liffe has attracted 33,000 visitors, of which approx. 7% of viewers watched movies via VOD.

    The most popular films were: Infinity, Triangle of Sadness, The Lost King, Corsage, The Banshees of Inisherin, Decision to Leave, The Son, She Said, Eo, Lunana: A Yak in the Classroom, Alcarras.

    Screened were 92 feature films and 3 short-film sections from 48 countries: 
    Australia, Austria, Albania, Argentina, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bolivia, Brazil, Bhutan, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Chile, Denmark, France, Georgia, Greece, Croatia, Iran, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Yugoslavia, South Korea, Canada, China, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Hungary, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, North Macedonia, Soviet Union, Slovenia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Turkey, Tunisia, Ukraine, Uruguay, UK, USA
    There were 273 screenings, of which 24 in Maribor, 10 in Celje and 6 in Novo mesto.

    The festival was visited by 41 guests, filmmakers and crew members, from: Iceland, Croatia, Austria, Georgia, France, Australia, Ireland, North Macedonia, The Netherlands, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, Kosovo, Sweden, Germany, Montenegro, Serbia, Czech Republic
     
    There were 37 post-screening Q&As.

    The 10 Nov screening of Decision to Leave at Bežigrad Cinema was cancelled due to technical difficulties. The alternative screening takes place on 15 Nov.

    The alternative screening of Decision to Leave is scheduled for Tuesday, 15 Nov, at 19.00 at Bežigrad Cinema. No ticket change is necessary; The tickets remain valid for the new date.
    Ticketholders unable to attend the screening on the new date are entitled to an exchange for alternative tickets or a refund until the end of the festival (20 Nov 2022).
    You can change your tickets from the comfort of your home: send your e-tickets, or a scan/photo of your tickets to vstopnice@cd-cc.si, specifying which screening you’d like to exchange them for. The Box Office will send alternative tickets.
